Aspen Ladd was 14 when she started to take part in the combat sports. She trained in boxing kickboxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her first amateur appearance at 18 in WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on her win in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She finished all of her competitors in the initial round. She returned to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen to defeat her in an unanimous decision. This put an ominous mark on her records in her amateur. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing with Invicta FC. At InvictaFC 11, she had her debut professional fight. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and won via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen utilized her formidable wrestling skills to take down McGill and ended her via third-round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen continued to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, but Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina with her ground and pound techniques, resulting in an TKO second round victory. In her next fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd defeated Evinger within the first few seconds and earned a reward for the performance of the evening. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she's had in a major capacity. Ladd was the winner of the night's fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in a fierce combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. The third time she fought on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an majority decision.
