Bill Self has been a basketball coach for more than 50 years. Bill Self was born at Okmulgee in Oklahoma State, United States on the 27th of December 1962. Bill was worth a net of around $10 million as at December 11, 2023. He is Kansas rookie sensation Andrew Wiggins was his coach in the year 2013. Self played his first three seasons at Tulsa (1998-2000) and there self racked up the Tulsa highest record (74-27) after rebuilding Golden Eagles. Self was the coach of TU's Golden Hurricane in consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (1999 and 2000). In the 1999-2000 season in addition to creating a record for a single season at TU for wins, accumulating an overall record of 32-5, Self led the Golden Hurricane to its first Elite Eight appearance. The following year the coach also won the fourth Big 12 Award for Coach of the Year. Cindy Self, his wife for 29 years, was born in 1989. The son of the couple is named Tyler as well as a daughter, who is called Lauren. Self was raised in the Okmulgee area where his father was the girl's basketball coach of Morris High School. Self was offered a scholarship in basketball in Oklahoma State University. For the entire time he was playing, he was an honors student. He was awarded a degree by the Oklahoma State University awarded him an undergraduate business administration degree in the year 1985 as well as a master in athletics administration diploma in the year 1989. Bill is one of the top Basketball coaches in the United States. Self's net worth is estimated at $10 million according to Business Insider and Forbes. Self took over as head basketball coach in Illinois's program on June 9th 2000. Self's mentor Lon Kruger left Illinois to take a position as head coach for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA.
